Russia is my favourite country among all I have ever visited. Its atmosphere combined with its architecture makes it a stunning place, specially in summer. You can easily use the public transport (the metro itself is a highlight) and with a little of patience you can find help from someone who can help you if you are lost. For me it is a mysterious city and moreover it welcomes all its visitors. The places I’ll recommend are the following: The Red Square with Saint Basil’s Cathedral, The Kremlin with its park and a walk alongside the river. It’s a wonderful city.
